CVC Members Return From National Team Trip To BrazilAugust 20, 2018Several players from the Continental Volleyball Conference had the chance to represent NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball this summer while playing in Brazil. Three different schools were represented from the conference with players participating including Dylan Flor, R. J. Ocampo, Quinn Peterson, Jared Warner, Michael Young, and Steven Zarzycki. In addition, Juniata College head coach Glenn DeHaven coached the USA Division III Men's Team on the trip.

Nekoloff Named CVC CommissionerApril 17, 2018J.J. Nekoloff has been named the new commissioner of the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC). Nekoloff will assume duties on June 1, 2018, and become the third commissioner in conference history.

Scarlet Raiders Advance To CVC SemifinalsApril 10, 2018The Rutgers University-Newark men's volleyball team advanced to the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) Tournament semifinals with a 3-1 win over Ramapo College Tuesday night in The Golden Dome. The set scores were 27-25, 19-25, 25-18, 26-24.

CVC Player of the Week - Quinn Peterson (April 9)April 09, 2018Quinn Peterson, a junior from Las Vegas, Nev., picks up his second conference weekly award this season after helping the Eagles to a perfect 3-0 record last week. Peterson, an outside hitter, was efficient in all three matches while totaling 44 kills. He hit .554 on the week, committing just eight errors on 65 swings. Peterson had a high of 19 kills in a win over St. John Fisher, adding six digs and five aces. He led his team in not just kills in their win over Penn State-Behrend but also tallied a team high 10 digs. On the week Peterson averaged 5.5 points per set and added 1.8 digs per set while recording six total blocks.

CVC Player of the Week - Sam Safley, Marymount (April 2)April 02, 2018Sam Safley, a sophomore from Santa Clarita, Calif., continued his recent strong play by helping the Saints to a pair of conference wins last week, securing the top seed in the West Division for the upcoming conference tournament. Safley put down 18 kills in a sweep of Ramapo, adding seven digs and two block assists. He followed with 16 kills, hitting .560, in a sweep of Rutgers-Newark while adding three aces. On the week Safley hit .519 with 34 kills and just six errors on 54 swings; averaging 5.7 kills and 6.7 points per set.

CVC Player of the Week - Corey Pieper (March 26)March 26, 2018For the second straight week, Rutgers-Newark senior Corey Pieper is the CVC Player of the Week. Pieper guided the Scarlet Raiders to a 2-0 record on the week including a conference win. Pieper pounded out 23 kills in a five-set win over conference foe Eastern Mennonite, marking his third straight 20 kill match. Pieper also added 15 digs in the match, a season-high, and three block assists. He closed out the week with 12 kills in a sweep of Mt. St. Vincent, adding five digs. On the week Pieper averaged 4.4 kills and 2.5 digs per set while hitting .281 and totaling 38 points in the two matches.

Schaeffer, a sophomore, led the Eagles attack in impressive back to back wins, averaging 13.4 assists per set with the team hitting .369 combined in the two matches.
