Sam Safley, a sophomore from Santa Clarita, Calif., continued his recent strong play by helping the Saints to a pair of conference wins last week, securing the top seed in the West Division for the upcoming conference tournament. Safley put down 18 kills in a sweep of Ramapo, adding seven digs and two block assists. He followed with 16 kills, hitting .560, in a sweep of Rutgers-Newark while adding three aces. On the week Safley hit .519 with 34 kills and just six errors on 54 swings; averaging 5.7 kills and 6.7 points per set.
