For the second straight week, Rutgers-Newark senior Corey Pieper is the CVC Player of the Week. Pieper guided the Scarlet Raiders to a 2-0 record on the week including a conference win. Pieper pounded out 23 kills in a five-set win over conference foe Eastern Mennonite, marking his third straight 20 kill match. Pieper also added 15 digs in the match, a season-high, and three block assists. He closed out the week with 12 kills in a sweep of Mt. St. Vincent, adding five digs. On the week Pieper averaged 4.4 kills and 2.5 digs per set while hitting .281 and totaling 38 points in the two matches.
