Kean and Marymount Remain Near Top of AVCA Poll

Kean University and Marymount University remain near the top of the American Volleyball Coaches Association DIII Men's Volleyball Coaches Poll with Kean coming in at #4 and Marymount at #6 in this week's rankings. A total of five teams from the Continental Volleyball Conference either appear in the Top 15 poll or are receiving votes.

Kean remained at #4 in the poll for the third consecutive week and totaled 263 points this week. They are currently 26-2 overall and have won 19 straight matches as they host a CVC doubleheader on Wednesday night against Neumann and Ramapo.

Marymount moved up two spots with 205 total points. The #6 ranked Saints are 17-6 overall and will play three conference matches this week including home dates against Rutgers-Newark and Neumann.

Southern Virginia University is the third CVC team to find themselves in the top 15. The Knights are 14-7 overall and picked up 88 points this week, dropping them one spot to #12 in the rankings. They host Thiel and Rutgers-Newark in conference matches this weekend.

Eastern Mennonite University received three total points, appearing in the others receiving votes section for the fourth straight week. In fact, the Royals have appeared in the receiving votes section each week this year except for a two-week stretch in late February when they climbed into the Top 15. The Royals are 19-10 this year and are off this weekend.

Rutgers University-Newark becomes the sixth different CVC team this year to pick up votes in the poll. The Scarlet Raiders received three total points this week and are 16-4 overall this season. Rutgers-Newark has a busy week that features four conference matches including key meetings against Kean, Marymount, and Southern Virginia in three straight nights.
