CVC Weekly Awards Nomination Guidelines 

Student-Athlete of the Week 

All team results and statistics must be current and up to date with the conference Sports Information Office.

Nominations are to include contests taking place from Monday to the following Sunday. These seven days are considered the week of competition for the CVC weekly awards. 

Contests and events that include any of the following will not be considered as support for the athletes nominated: exhibitions, scrimmages, junior varsity contests, varsity reserve contests, and contests versus non-four-year institutions. 

Nominations for each team are to come from only one source each week (SID, Asst. SID or head coach). Only one nominee may come from each team each week. A coach and SID may not each submit their own nominee.

The head coaches from the CVC will select the Student Athlete of the Week award winners. Member-school SIDs or Coaches will each submit their Student Athlete of the Week nominations to the conference SID at thecvc@gmail.com by 3 p.m. EASTERN TIME, every Monday. Ballots will be sent to head coaches no later than 4 p.m. EST the same day. Coaches cannot vote for an athlete from their institution. Ballots must be completed by 6 p.m. EST on Monday for the weekly CVC news release.  If Monday is a holiday, this process will take place on Tuesday. The CVC Commissioner will break any ties. The awards will only be offered during the season the CVC championship takes place. All nominations will be considered from the start of the regular season to the end of the CVC postseason.
