
Seven players from the CVC have been named to the 2025 AVCA All-America Teams. Southern Virginia University had four players earn the honor, while Juniata College had three players receive recognition.
Southern Virginia's Christian Sheaffer led the way for the group of seven, picking up First Team honors. This marks the third time in his career that he has been named a First Team selection, which also includes winning the CVC Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons. Sheaffer tallied over 400 kills while hitting .437 this season and added school records for both aces (67) and blocks (92).
The man who set up Sheaffer all season long, Gehrig Tolman, was named Second Team All-American. In his first year with the Knights, Tolman has recorded a school record 958 assists this season.
Fellow Knights Justin Madsen and Samuel Candland were both named Honorable Mention. Madsen, a libero, has recorded 230 digs this season while Candland had a career-high 189 kills and earned All-America honors for the second time in his career.
Juniata's Tyler Goldsborough and Luke Hoffman were both named to the Second Team, while Juan Armando was an honorable mention selection.
Goldsborough has tallied 210 kills, 113 digs, 34 aces, and 19 blocks this year while hitting .338. Hoffman is at 210 kills while hitting a NCAA high .541 this season, while adding 49 blocks and 28 aces. This marks his second All-America selection in his career. Armando has tallied 259 kills and 141 digs this season from his outside hitter position.
