Ian Capp became the program's all-time aces leader as the #5 Kean University men's volleyball team extended their winning streak to four matches and remained unbeaten in the Continental Volleyball Conference with a straight-sets sweep of Marymount University, 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-19) on Friday evening.

Capp totaled seven kills, 19 assists, seven aces, and five digs for the Cougars who improved to 14-3 overall and 5-0 in the CVC. Eric Wiles totaled eight kills for the Saints who fall to 7-8 overall and 5-2 in the CVC.

Capp was sitting on 171 aces coming into tonight's match and needed three to surpass Jacob Kauffman who led with 173 aces. The junior moved into first place during the second set, when he served for six straight points and tallied four aces during a 5-0 run. Capp now stands at 178 aces and counting.

In a rematch of last season's CVC championship, the Cougars posted above .400 hitting percentages in both the first and third sets. Kean kept the attack errors low, as only one player posted more than two errors.

The Saints had the momentum in set one with a 23-21 lead before a kill by Capp and a debatable attacking error call from the officials evened everything at 23-23. Kean closed out the set with a Steven Zarzycki kill and a Capp ace.

Marymount never fully recovered as they hit -.130 in set two and .294 in set three.

Dylan Flor finished with nine kills and a .615 hitting percentage for the Cougars who posted a .297 hitting percentage for the match. Jake Milnazik added six kills, while both Jay Bynum and Kamil Grabowski each tallied five kills. Bynum collected two solo blocks, while Jonathan Meyer totaled four digs and three assists.    

Capp also needs just 31 assists to become the second player in program history to reach 2,000 career assists.
