Stevenson Up One After CVC Title, Rutgers-Newark Remains #5

Stevenson University moved up one spot, to a program high #6 ranking in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll while Rutgers University-Newark remained at #5 in the poll.

Rutgers-Newark received 176 total points in the poll, marking the sixth consecutive week the Scarlet Raiders are ranked #5 in the poll. They hold a 24-3 overall record, reaching the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) Championship match before falling to Stevenson. The Scarlet Raiders earned an at large berth into the NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship and will face #4 Stevens on Friday.

Stevenson moved up one spot to #6 in this week's poll, marking the highest ranking in Mustang program history. The Mustangs received 174 total points and won the CVC Championship last weekend, earning the program's first ever bid to the national championship. Stevenson will face #3 ranked Carthage on Friday.

SUNY New Paltz claimed all 17 first-place votes for the third straight week and sit atop the AVCA poll with 255 total points. Springfield is second and followed by Carthage and then Stevens. There was little change in the poll as Stevenson and UC Santa Cruz were the only team's to move places in the top 14. Wentworth was the only other change in the poll as they are now tied for 15th after just missing out last week and appearing in the receiving votes section.
