CVC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Landon Shorts, Stevenson University

Landon Shorts stepped up when his team needed it, leading the Mustangs to a win over Eastern Mennonite University and securing his team's first place finish in the Continental Volleyball Conference regular season. Shorts pounded down 18 kills in the four set match, with just two errors on 23 attempts. Shorts was just as adept on defense, finishing with five digs and one block. He finished with an average of 4.5 kills and 1.25 digs per set while hitting .696 on the week. Shorts and the Mustangs finished the CVC regular season with an 11-1 record and will host the upcoming CVC Tournament this weekend.

Other Notables:

  • Jack Fredricks, Rutgers University-Newark - Fredricks finished with 18 kills, hitting .552, in a win over #13 ranked NYU.
  • Tomasz Ksiazkiewicz, Marymount University - Ksiazkiewicz totaled eight kills and four blocks in his team's win over Bard, hitting .538 in the match.
  • Kyle Seeley, Juniata College - Seeley was key in the Eagles final week push to make the postseason, tallying a pair of 20 kill matches; finishing the week averaging 3.65 kills per set while hitting .538 on the week.
