GREENVILLE, Pa. – Thiel College will host the 2012
Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) Championship Tournament
this Friday and Saturday, April 13 and 14, at Beeghly Gymnasium.
The event will feature three of the top five programs in Division
III, including top-ranked Carthage College, with the winner earning
a spot in the first-ever Division III Men's Volleyball
Championship.
On Friday, Thiel (#3 East) will open play as they take on
third-ranked University of California-Santa Cruz (#2 West) at 4
p.m. Stevenson University (#2 East) faces Milwaukee School of
Engineering (#3 West) at 7 p.m. to close out the opening day of
action.
On Saturday, fourth-ranked Juniata College (#1 East) will
take on the winner of the UC-Santa Cruz / Thiel winner at 11 a.m.,
followed by top-ranked Carthage (#1 West) facing the winner of the
Stevenson / MSOE at 2 p.m. Saturday's championship contest is
slated to get underway at 7 p.m.
The CVC intends on all five tournament matches being
streamed live, as well as in-game statistics being available for
each match.
