Pair of CVC Teams Headed to National Tournament

The CVC will be represented by Juniata College and Southern Virginia University in the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Tournament. After their CVC Championship win on Saturday it was known that Southern Virginia would be representing the conference, earning the league's automatic bid, but Juniata found out on Monday that they too have earned a spot, being selected as an at-large berth. This is the third consecutive year the league has had multiple teams advance to the national tournament.

Southern Virginia is the #1 ranked team in Division III, holding a 28-0 overall record this season. The Knights have been dominant this season, winning 81 of 84 possible sets this year. They captured their 3rd CVC Championship in program history over the weekend and will be making their fifth straight tournament appearance. They will take on St. Joseph's (L.I.) on Friday, April 19. The Knights will serve as host for their portion of the bracket, welcoming in NYU and Baruch in addition to St. Joseph's (L.I.).

Juniata was selected as an at-large team after finishing in second place in the CVC during the regular season and falling to Southern Virginia in the conference championship match. The Eagles are 25-6 overall this season and ranked #6 in the latest AVCA poll. This is the fifth time the Eagles will be appearing in the national tournament and the second year in a row. Juniata faces Springfield in their opening match on Friday, April 19.
