CVC Announces Additions of Drew and Wilkes

The CVC has admitted Drew University and Wilkes University as its latest members. The two schools will begin CVC play next season, the 2025 sports season. The CVC is currently a nine-member league consisting of Eastern Mennonite University, Elizabethtown College, Juniata College, Kean University, Marymount University, Randolph Macon College, Roanoke College, Rutgers University-Newark, and Southern Virginia University. 

"Change has long been a feature of the CVC as sports sponsorships have grown throughout the region," noted CVC Commissioner J.J. Nekoloff. "The CVC takes pride in its role fostering that growth and leading by example as one of the best men's volleyball conferences in Division III. I expect that tradition to continue with Drew University and Wilkes University adding to the strong pedigree of the returning six members for the 2024-25 academic year."

Drew University is located in Madison, New Jersey, and is currently in its third season sponsoring men's volleyball. They are currently 13-12 overall this season, playing as an independent. The first CVC match for the Rangers will be on February 7, 2025 against Southern Virginia University. 

Located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Wilkes University has fielded a men's volleyball program since 2017 and currently plays as an independent, holding a 16-8 record this season. Wilkes will being its CVC competition on February 8, 2025 against Southern Virginia University.

The CVC was formed in 2011 and has seen 23 members compete as part of the conference. The last addition to the conference was in the 2022-23 academic year when Roanoke College joined the league.
