Eagles and Knights Headed to Nationals

On Saturday afternoon we knew that the Continental Volleyball Conference would be represented by Juniata College in the 2023 NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship after winning the conference tournament and earning the league's automatic bid. But on Monday morning we learned that they would be joined by Southern Virginia University in the national tournament field.

Juniata captured its 4th CVC Tournament title in program history and is currently ranked #3 in the nation. They are 29-2 overall this season and have 14 consecutive matches. The Eagles were co-regular season champions and will face Baldwin Wallace on Friday in a first-round matchup. This marks the first national tournament trip for the Eagles program since 2017 while their 29 wins are most in program history.

Southern Virginia was CVC co-regular season champion and is 17-3 on the season. They will face #2 ranked Stevens in their tournament opener on Friday. This is the fourth consecutive year the Knights have made the national tournament.
