Juniata Holds, Southern Virginia and Rutgers-Newark Up

With just one month remaining in the season, the NVA/AVCA national poll is becoming more important. Three teams from the Continental Volleyball Conference appear in this week's poll with Juniata College pacing the group.

For the sixth consecutive week, Juniata holds at #3 on the poll. They received 296 total points this week, an increase of two points from the prior poll. The Eagles are 25-2 overall this season with their only losses coming to #1 Stevens and #8 Southern Virginia. Juniata is on a 10-match winning streak and faces Elmira and Drew on Saturday to close out the regular season.

Moving up two spots is #8 Southern Virginia University. The Knights totaled 181 points this week, 14 more than the previous week. They are 15-2 overall, having won nine straight, and finish the regular season this weekend with matches against #14 Rutgers-Newark and Kean.

A second CVC team moved up in the rankings this week as Rutgers University-Newark bumped up to #14 with 45 total points. The Scarlet Raiders are 12-6 on the season and face #8 Southern Virginia and Roanoke this weekend to wrap up the regular season.

Stevens and Vassar remain the top two teams in NCAA Division III with 14 of 15 teams in this week's poll also appearing last week.
