Zaleck, AVCA Player of the Week

For the second time in his career, Andrew Zaleck has been named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III MVB Player of the Week.

Zaleck set the Rutgers-Newark school record with a career-high 39 kills in a 5-set win against #7 SUNY New Paltz. His 39 kills are also the 4th highest all-time in Division III history. Not only did Zaleck tally a career-high in kills but he did so by hitting a blistering .409. Zaleck finished with 41.5 total points and 9 digs along with two aces.

This award is his third tally this week after he was named New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) and Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) Player of the Week.

Zaleck and the Scarlet Raiders return to the court on Wednesday, March 8, when they hit the road to take on Lancaster Bible in Lancaster, PA.
