Rutgers-Newark Up Two, Juniata Holds in Latest AVCA Poll

Rutgers University-Newark moved up two spots while Juniata College remained unchanged in the latest National Volleyball Association/American Volleyball Coaches Association (NVA/AVCA) Division III Men's Volleyball Coaches Poll. 

Rutgers-Newark received 236 total points this week moving them up to #6 in the national rankings. That is an increase of 65 points from last week when they ranked #8. The Scarlet Raiders are 9-0 on the season, besting their 8-0 start to the 2016 season. They face Immaculata and Hunter this week.

Juniata increased their point total by four to 156 this week as they remained in the #9 slot. The Eagles are 8-3 on the season and will face Messiah, St. Vincent, and Lancaster Bible this weekend. 

Springfield remained atop the rankings while SUNY New Paltz, NYU, and Stevens all slid up one spot in the rankings and last week's #2 team, Vassar, dropped down three spots to round out the nation's top five teams.
