A nationwide voting committee has selected 15 players for an annual preseason college men's volleyball honor.
Off the Block announced on Friday the Off the Block Division III Preseason All-American Team that recognizes the NCAA Division III players projected to be the best in the nation during the upcoming season.
Stevens was the only school to have multiple Preseason All-American Team selections. The other schools to have a Preseason All-American were Arcadia, Benedictine, Carthage, Dominican, Elms, Endicott, Lancaster Bible, MSOE, NYU, Southern Virginia, Springfield, Stevenson and SUNY New Paltz.
Players eligible for the Preseason All-American Teams had to be on an active roster of a Division III men's volleyball team.
The 16-member voting committee for this preseason honor was comprised of Division III men's volleyball head coaches from around the nation. The top 15 vote-getters from the committee's ballots earned a spot on the Preseason All-American Team.
The voting committee also unanimously selected four players as Preseason All-Americans — Arcadia middle attacker Austin Braas, SUNY New Paltz setter Matt Grace, Stevens opposite David Lehman and Southern Virginia outside attacker Nahuel Recabarren.
Off the Block is the only volleyball organization to present Preseason All-American Teams in college men's volleyball.
