Eastern Mennonite University setter Christian Taylor is the Continental Volleyball Conference Player of the Week for February 12, 2018. Taylor, a junior from Richmond, Va., helped the Royals roll off six wins last week including three conference victories. On the week he averaged 10.0 assists per set, totaling 170 in his six matches. He topped 30 assists in three different matches including a high of 35 assists in a win over Arcadia. More importantly, Taylor improved everyone around him, leading the team to a .271 hitting percentage, nearly 60 points higher than their season average, including the two highest marks this season (.372 against Neumann and .352 against Mount Ida). Taylor also added 13 digs and nine total blocks.
