Ramapo College To Become 12th Member of CVC

Ramapo College will become the 12th member of the Continental Volleyball Conference, joining the NCAA Division III men's volleyball only conference for the 2018 season. Ramapo is the fifth institution to receive approval to join the league this year joining Alvernia University, Kean University, Neumann University, and Southern Virginia University.

Ramapo College 'Roadrunners'

Ramapo College, located in Mahwah, New Jersey was established in 1969 and holds an enrollment of just over 6,000 students. Ramapo sponsors 18 collegiate sports, with their men's volleyball team currently members of the Skyline Conference. Added in the 1993, the Roadrunners men's volleyball team has a long history of success with 15 seasons of 20 or more wins including an appearance in the Molten Division III Championship in 2009. Former Roadrunner standout Mike Hrehovcik, who was a member of that 2009 team, will be in his first season as head coach of the program this year. Ramapo will begin play in the CVC in the 2018 season, giving the league 12 conference members for that season. Kean, Neumann, and Southern Virginia will also begin their first season as members of the CVC in the 2018 season while Alvernia begins play in the CVC this upcoming 2017 season. Other members of the CVC include Cairn University, Eastern Mennonite University, Juniata College, Marymount University, Rutgers University-Newark, Stevenson University, and Thiel College. The CVC was founded in 2011 with the 2012 season serving as their first season of play.
