Juniata and Eastern Mennonite Join Marymount In AVCA Poll

After their impressive showings in the Continental Volleyball Conference Tournament last week, both Juniata College and Eastern Mennonite University are back into the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 15 Poll; joining Marymount University.

Juniata is ranked #12 this week, moving into the poll after receiving votes last week. The Eagles were the second seed in last weekend's conference tournament and defeated Stevenson and Eastern Mennonite on their way to a tournament title. Juniata received 57 total points in the poll and are 21-10 overall this season. They will face NYU in the opening round of the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship.

Eastern Mennonite, who fell out of the poll last week, returned this week to #15 after advancing to the CVC Tournament championship match after becoming the first team in conference history to upset the host and top seed of the tournament in the first-round. The Saints fell in the title match, falling to 22-11 on the season. They received 26 total points in this week's poll.

Marymount University received 27 total points and finished with a 19-10 overall record, falling one spot to #14 in this week's poll.

Springfield and Vassar remain the top two teams in the poll while NYU jumped seven spots to #3. SUNY New Paltz and Wentworth held at #4 and #5 to round out the poll's top five teams.
