Patterson Closes Regular Season As CVC Player of the Week

Thiel College's Mitchell Patterson closes out his freshman season as the Continental Volleyball Conference Player of the Week. Patterson, from Canonsburg, Pa., helped the Tomcats close out the regular season with three straight wins. Patterson had a match high13 kills in his team's 3-0 sweep of Hilbert, adding eight digs and four service aces. He followed with nine kills in a sweep of Cairn before ending the year on a high note with a career-high 26 kills in a five set win over Rutgers-Newark. On the week Patterson averaged 4.8 kills per set with 54.5 total points and 16 digs in three matches.
