CVC PLAYER OF THE WEEK - MARCH 27, 2017 With the season coming down to big games against big opponents, TJ Wiechecki stepped up for Marymount and powered his way to the Continental Volleyball Conference Player of the Week award for the third time this season. Wiechecki, a junior from Wilmington, Delaware, led the Saints attack against two top ten ranked opponents last week, averaging 5.1 kills per set. He tallied a career-high 31 kills in a 3-2 upset win over #8 Eastern Mennonite, adding nine total blocks. He followed with 20 kills in a five-set loss to #4 Vassar, when he added 11 digs. On the week he finished with 51 kills, 20 digs, and 11 total blocks; averaging 5.8 points per set. |
