DeHaven, Elmore, and Wiechecki Garner Top Honors

Glenn DeHaven, Josh Elmore, and TJ Wiechecki take home the Continental Volleyball Conference's top individual honors for the 2017 season. DeHaven has been named the Coach of the Year, Elmore the Freshman of the Year, and Wiechecki the Player of the Year.

Glenn DeHaven, in his first season as head coach at Juniata College, has led the Eagles to a 21-10 record thus far, going 11-3 in conference play. As the #2 seed in the CVC Tournament, he and the Eagles won the 2017 title and are on an eight-match winning streak. Juniata is currently ranked #12 in the AVCA national poll and will face NYU in the opening round of the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship.

Josh Elmore becomes the first CVC Freshman of the Year winner for the Eastern Mennonite University program. Elmore was key to the Royals rise this year, finishing in the top ten during conference play in kills, kills per set, hitting percentage, digs, digs per set, and points. Elmore finished with 316 kills this season, leading the team, and added 207 digs, and 81 total blocks.

TJ Wiechecki, a junior at Marymount University, captures his second top major award of his career after winning the CVC Freshman of the Year award two years ago. Wiechecki was a force for the Saints this season, helping them to a 13-1 conference record. Wiechecki totaled 438 kills, averaging 4.42 per set while adding 27 service aces and 1.57 digs and 0.74 blocks per set this year. During conference play, Wiechecki led all players with a 4.50 kills per set average and finished with 189 kills in 14 matches. He ranked in the top ten in the conference in block assists, total blocks, blocks per set, points, and points per set.
