Meet Your 2017 CVC All-Conference Team

The2017 Continental Volleyball Conference All-Conference team is loaded with players from team's who make up the postseason tournament. All ten of the players on this year's All-Conference team are members of the four teams that will be playing in the CVC Tournament this weekend. In addition six of the ten players garner their first All-Conference team honors while Marymount's TJ Wiechecki is making his third consecutive appearance.

Wiechecki, a junior, led the conference in kills this past season totaling 189 during conference play; averaging 4.50 per set. He hit .272 during conference action and ranked in the top ten in total blocks while also averaging 1.43 digs per set. His teammates Erich Bratke, a setter, and Tomasz Ksiawkiewicz, a middle blocker, also join him on the All-Conference team. Bratke averaged 8.30 assists per set this season while leading the Saints offense to a .261 hitting percentage. This is Ksiazkiewicz second All-Conference honor, hitting .422 during conference play while adding 31 total blocks. The trio helped lead Marymount University to a 13-1 CVC record this past season and the top seed in the CVC Tournament, winning the program's first-ever conference regular season title.

Landon Shorts heads up the honorees for Stevenson University, who tied with Marymount for the most All-Conference players this year. Shorts, an outside hitter was the 2016 CVC Newcomer of the Year and continued his outstanding play this season as a sophomore. He led all conference players in kills (191) and service aces (29) while also finishing in the top ten in hitting percentage (.339). Fellow Mustang Nate Ellis, a middle blocker, is making his first All-Conference team after ranking second in the league with a .458 hitting percentage and totaling 46 blocks during conference play. Freshman libero Derek Tangorra earned All-Conference honors after finishing fourth in the league with 127 total digs, averaging 2.70 per set.

Eastern Mennonite University placed two players on the All-Conference team, Micah Buller and William Ragland. Buller, a junior libero ranked fifth with 2.50 digs per set this season. Ragland, a junior, finished in the top ten in the conference in kills, kills per set, hitting percentage, and service aces.

Juniata College rounds out the list of All-Conference honorees with Quinn Peterson and Kyle Seeley getting the nod. Peterson, a sophomore, finished with 164 kills, the third most in conference play, while added 23 service aces and also ranking in the top ten in total blocks with 38. Seeley meanwhile caps off his career as an All-Conference performer after leading the CVC with a .509 hitting percentage and total blocks, with 56, while also ranking in the top ten in kills, kills per set.

The 2017 CVC individual award winners (Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and Coach of the Year) will be announced early next week.
