More of the Same for Rutgers-Newark and Stevenson

It was more of the same in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll for Rutgers University-Newark and Stevenson University as both teams remained in the same spot for the fourth consecutive week.

This marks the fifth consecutive week Rutgers-Newark is ranked #5 in the poll, receiving 189 total points. The Scarlet Raiders are currently 23-2 overall and have won six straight matches as they enter the CVC Tournament this weekend. The Scarlet Raiders will be the #2 seed in the tournament and face #3 seed Marymount University on Friday at 8 p.m.

Stevenson University is once again #7 in the poll, with 149 total points. The Mustangs closed out the regular season with a 23-7 record, going 11-1 in the CVC. They are hosts of the CVC Tournament and will face #4 seed Juniata College on Friday at 6 p.m.

SUNY New Paltz claimed all 17 first-place votes for the second straight week and sit atop the AVCA poll with 255 total points. Springfield is second and followed by Carthage and then Stevens. The top nine teams remained unchanged in the poll while all 15 teams from last week's poll remained ranked in this week's poll.
