AROUND THE CVC

	Cairn had a nice long spring break, taking 13 days off between matches. The last match for the Highlanders was a 3-2 win over Wells on March 7. They return to action this Friday against Marymount. Cairn will also face York on Saturday this weekend. The Highlanders are currently 10-14 overall this season.
	It has been a successful month of March for Eastern Mennonite, winning all four of their scheduled matches. The Royals have swept each match, defeating John Jay, Brooklyn, York, and Bluefield to improve their record to 9-5 overall this season. The Royals get back to CVC play this week by hosting Stevenson tonight and traveling to Thiel on Friday.
	Juniata returned to action after a ten day break with a 3-0 victory over Thiel on Tuesday night. The Eagles hit .287 in the match with 40 kills and just 15 errors as Paul Kuhn led his team with 12 kills including his 1,000th career kill during the match. Matt Elias finished with 32 assists for Juniata.
	Marymount snapped their four match losing streak with a 3-0 win over Bluefield last Saturday. Marymount hit .278 in the match with T.J. Wiechecki leading all players with 14 kills. Erich Bratke finished with 33 assists and Chris Lionette added 11 digs. Marymount has three scheduled matches this week and will face P.R.-Mayaguez, Cairn, and Sacred Heart.
	Rutgers-Newark won their only match on the schedule last week, a 3-1 victory over Ramapo on Thursday. The Scarlet Raiders have a long break between matches as they are not in action again until March 27 when they face Stevenson.
	Stevenson won two of three matches last week with wins over Lancaster Bible and Hunter. The Mustangs are now 13-10 overall and are set to face Eastern Mennonite in a CVC match this Wednesday. They then go on a week long break before facing Marymount on March 25.
	Thiel was unable to shake off the rust in their return to the court this week, falling to Juniata. Thiel had 11 days off between matches and fell 3-0 to Juniata on Tuesday in their return to action. Thiel looks to get back after it this weekend when they face Eastern Mennonite on Friday in a CVC battle.
