The 2013 Continental Volleyball Conference Tournament field has been set. Juniata and UC Santa Cruz have earned the #1 seeds while Carthage and Stevenson are the #2 seeds and MSOE and Thiel will be the #3 seeds.

By virtue of winning their regular season division Juniata and UC Santa Cruz have earned first round byes in this year's tournament. Juniata is the #1 seed in the East while Stevenson captured the #2 seed and Thiel is the #3 seed. On the West side UC Santa Cruz is the #1 seed with Carthage seeded #2 and MSOE the #3 seed.

The 2013 CVC Tournament will be this weekend, Friday and Saturday, April 12-13 at Thiel College. First round matches will be on Friday with Carthage facing Thiel in match one and Stevenson against MSOE in match two. The first match of the evening is at 5 p.m. with the second match to follow at 7 p.m.

The winner of match one will face Juniata at 10 a.m. on Saturday in one half of the semifinals while the winner of match two will face UC Santa Cruz 12 p.m. The championship game will be played at 5 p.m. on Saturday. All matches will be broadcast live on video through the Thiel College website. Stay tuned for more information.

Ticket prices for the tournament are $5 per day or $10 for a weekend pass. Video streaming will be $10 and portions of video streaming and ticket prices will be donated to help the Special Olympics as part of the CVC service initiative.
