Barry named CVC West Division Player of the Week

Milwaukee – Pat Barry, a sophomore opposite hitter for Carthage College has been selected as the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) West Division Player of the Week. During the second CVC West Challenge weekend, Barry was instrumental in the Red Men’s four-set victory over then number one ranked Santa Cruz. In the UC-Santa Cruz contest, Barry collected a match-high 20 kills and hit .447 with two block assists. In four matches for the week, he compiled 45 kills with a .382 hitting percentage. In both the UC Santa Cruz match and the Fontbonne match, he averaged 5 kills per set. He led all point getters in the Fontbonne victory with 23 points in the three set sweep.

This is Berry’s first CVC Player of the Week Award. Carthage is coached by L.J. Marx.
