Rutgers-Newark University Athletics

• Route 21 becomes McCarter Highway in Newark.
• Turn left onto Raymond Boulevard.
• Cross Broad Street and proceed to second traffic light.
• Make a right at Washington Boulevard.
• To The Golden Dome Athletic Center and Alumni Field:
• Proceed one block to Warren Street and make a left.
• The Golden Dome Athletic Center will be on your left and across University Avenue on your left will be Alumni Field.
• There is limited metered street parking available on Warren Street and on University Avenue between Warren and Raymond Boulevard on weekdays. Street parking is readily available on Saturdays and Sundays. Weekdays and early evening spots are more difficult to locate.
• For secured parking, Parking Deck I (used for athletics and recreation events) is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Warren and University. The parking fee is $12.00 for each vehicle.

To Parking Deck I (northeast corner of University and Warren):

• Return to Washington Street.
• Continue north on Washington Street through first traffic light.
• Make first left onto Bleeker Street.
• Proceed one block and turn left onto University Boulevard.
• Stay in left lane.
• Parking Deck will be on your left.

• Make right turn on Clay Street and continue to 1st traffic light.
• Turn left onto Broad Street and stay in right lane to next light.
• Bear right where road splits and you will be on University Avenue.
• Proceed to Warren Street.
• The Golden Dome will be on your left and Alumni Field on your right at the intersection of University and Warren.
• There is limited metered street parking available on Warren Street and on University Avenue between Warren and Raymond Boulevard on weekdays. Street parking is readily available on Saturdays and Sundays. Weekdays and early evening spots are more difficult to locate.

• Proceed to the New Jersey Turnpike and follow directions for the NJ Turnpike, above.

• Take exit 52 to Garden State Parkway North.
• Follow directions for the Garden State Parkway, above.

• Take Exit 58A toward RT-21/US-22/NEWARK, and then take US Routes 1 & 9 to Route 21 North/McCarter Highway. Follow directions for Rt. 21 North, above.

• Take Exit 56 toward Clinton Avenue, making a left onto Hillside Ave., then a right onto Clinton Ave.
• Go about a mile, then make a left onto Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

• PATH train to Penn Station, Newark
• AMTRAK (1-800-872-7245; www.amtrak.com) and New Jersey Transit (1-800-772-2222; www.njtransit.com) trains also stop at Penn Station-Newark. Please call the appropriate toll-free number for scheduling and fare information.

• From Penn Station-Newark to campus:
  You may walk to campus (about 15-20min walk)
  OR
  Take a taxi (cabs line up just outside the waiting area of Penn Station)
  OR
  Take the Newark City Subway (entrance is by McDonald's) to Washington Street (2nd stop).

• From Broad St. Station:
  The Rutgers-Newark campus is only a four-block walk from the Broad Street Station, or a short ride on the free College Town shuttle service, which connects the Broad Street Station with the center of the campus (drop-off at University Ave. and New Street Plaza). Service available every 10 minutes, M-Th., from 9am – 5pm.
